The Natural Science Research Laboratory (NSRL) is a division of the Museum of Texas Tech University. It houses thousands of specimens in several collections, including Mammals, Invertebrates, Birds, Genetic Resources Collection and Radioactive Collection. The NSRL is used by students and faculty members at Texas Tech but it's also available to researchers across the United States and around the world.
"People write us or call us and ask for loans. Maybe it's a tissue for some project they're doing, maybe it's a handful of specimens that they want to look at," Robert Bradley, director of the NSRL, explained. "I think it's pretty unique."
There are countless aspects that make Texas Tech University successful. It's the people, the academics, the history and so much more.
The Discover Texas Tech series highlights the entire university and details what makes Raiderland the special place that it is.
