For nearly a century, agricultural science has played a pivotal role in the success of Texas Tech University. From being one of the four original colleges on campus to becoming a major contributor in the university's research efforts today, the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is continually expanding the scope of education it offers its students and enhancing its relationship with the producing community.
"Our mission is to educate students effectively, to conduct research that informs the producing community and provide an outreach that gets research and information out to that community," said Michael Galyean, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. "We have a lot of our faculty members working with producers, industry groups and we are very proud of that relationship."
There are countless aspects that make Texas Tech University successful. It's the people, the academics, the history and so much more.
