The Office of International Affairs will host cultural activities April 1-8.
Texas Tech University will host International Week, a week full of events devoted to celebrating the many different cultures in the world.
Students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to participate in events hosted by the Office of International Affairs along with several other departments and organizations on campus and within the community.
“This city and campus-wide event brings our community together to participate in a variety of fun, informative and culturally-rich activities,” Jane Bell, senior director of International Outreach and Operations, said.
The weeklong festivities will begin at the First Friday Art Trail (April 1) and end with the annual Global Vision Awards ceremony at the International Cultural Center on April 8.
The Global Vision Awards are given to Texas Tech faculty and administrators for their inspiring works that encourage students to study and experience the world abroad. Last year's recipients include Cristina Rios-Blanco, Rogelio Carrera, Linda Donahue, Paul Paré, David Weindoff and John Masselli.
