The Wall Street Journal - As he watched Republican presidential contenders spar over
national security and immigration last month, Dan Lyons was drawn to another issue.
“What I’ve learned during this debate: George Pataki is about 1.5x as tall as Lindsey
Graham,” Mr. Lyons, of New York, wrote on Twitter during the televised event.
Height brings a distinct advantage to a political candidate, says Gregg R. Murray,
an associate professor of political science at Texas Tech University, reflecting what
he thinks is a sense many people have that a taller leader is a stronger one.
