Registration for Museum Summer Camps Open

A number of three-day camps are available with a variety of activities.

The Museum of Texas Tech University has a number of summer camps for children of all ages, ranging in subject from art and tie-dyeing to Antarctica and Harry Potter.

June classes are:

  • Arts and crafts, ages 4-6; 10 a.m. to noon June 2-4
  • Wizard camp, ages 7-10; 2-4 p.m. June 2-4; 2-4 p.m. June 16-18
  • Tie dye, ages 11-14; 10 a.m. to noon June 9-11
  • Antarctica, ages 4-6; 10 a.m. to noon June 16-18
  • Terrariums, ages 7-10; 10 a.m. to noon June 23-25
  • Teen drawing, ages 13-18; 1-4 p.m. June 9-12
  • Adult drawing, ages 18 and older; 1-4 p.m. June 23-26

July classes are:

  • Wizard camp, ages 7-10; 2-4 p.m. July 7-9; 2-4 p.m. July 21-23
  • Arts and crafts, ages 4-6; 10 a.m. to noon July 7-9
  • Tie dye, ages 11-14; 10 a.m. to noon July 14-16
  • Antarctica, ages 4-6; 10 a.m. to noon July 21-23
  • Weather, ages 11-14; 1-4 p.m. July 21-24
  • Terrariums, ages 7-10; 10 a.m. to noon July 28-30
  • Teen drawing, ages 13-18; 1-4 p.m. July 14-17
  • Adult drawing, ages 18 and older; 1-4 p.m. July 28-31

With the exception of the drawing classes, the camps last three days and cost $20. The drawing classes last four days and are free, but are limited to 10 participants. Registration is required. For more information on camps and to register, go to the museum website.
