Supreme Court denies Alan Gross in bid to sue government

The Baltimore Sun - Alan Gross was languishing in prison in Cuba when he sued the federal government for allegedly failing to prepare him for his dangerous mission on the communist island.

"I don't think it's a surprise" that the court declined to hear the case, said William R. Casto, a law professor at Texas Tech University. He said the justices were unlikely to revisit the previous ruling.
