Texas Tech Wind Day Today

Meet with NWI associates, learn about wind energy programs and storm chasing equipment.

WHAT:           Texas Tech University Wind Day

WHEN:           9 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday (Sept. 18)

WHERE:         Free Speech Area, Student Union Building

WHO:             Texas Tech’s National Wind Institute (NWI) will host Texas Tech Wind Day. The event will be conducted by NWI associates, staff and students from the Texas Tech Wind Energy Student Association, all of whom will be available to answer questions about degree options in the Wind Energy programs.

Some of NWI’s storm-chasing equipment, including one of the student-designed StickNet meteorological instruments and a Ka-Band Mobile Doppler Radar truck, also will be on display.
