Texas Tech Unveils Renovated Red Raider Ballroom

(VIDEO) The facility will serve as an elegant and functional space for students to gather.

Texas Tech University President M. Duane Nellis welcomed faculty, staff, student alumni to ribbon cutting celebrating the renovation of the Red Raider Ballroom. Located in the Student Union Building, the elegant facility will be utilized by students at Red Raider Orientation, through their academic career at Texas Tech and later as alumni.

Red Raider Ballroom

  • The Red Raider Ballroom is the most sought after room in the Student Union Building
  • 7900 square feet
  • Seats an audience of 575
  • Seats 304 in banquet rounds
  • LED lighting including Double Ts which are dimmable and capable of changing colors
  • State-of-the-art video wall (8x12) and digital audio system
  • Working gas fireplace

Ballroom A (1/3 of the room)

  • 3160 square feet
  • Projector screen
  • Seats 200 in an audience facing the west wall
  • Seats 152 in banquet rounds

Ballroom B (2/3 of the room)

  • 4740 square feet
  • 2 projector screens - one located on the west wall and one on the south wall
  • Video wall with media inputs
  • Seats 325 in an audience facing the south wall
  • Seats 152 in banquet rounds
