Texas Tech Fiber and Biopolymer Research Institute Hosting Cotton School

It is the 34th session of the Texas International Cotton School, allowing industry experts and cotton experts to interact.

The Texas Tech University Fiber and Biopolymer Research Institute will host the 34th session of the Texas International Cotton School (TICS) Aug. 4-14 sponsored by the Texas Cotton Exchange.

The TICS provides education on cotton and textiles and allows interaction between cotton experts and professionals in the industry from around the world. Lectures given during the school will cover information on various aspects of the cotton industry.

The TICS session is open only to registered participants in the industry and will involve classes, lectures, tours and hands-on interaction through all phases of cotton production.

Texas Tech’s Fiber and Biopolymer Research Institute is located at 1001 East Loop 289, just north of 19th Street on the east side of Lubbock. The institute does research, testing and evaluating of natural and man-made fibers in order to promote greater use of said fibers in textile manufacturing in Texas.
