WHAT: The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents will host a special called teleconference meeting Thursday (June 12).

WHERE: Matador Room (Room 227), Student Union Building, 15th St. and Akron Ave., Texas Tech University
EVENT: The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents will meet Thursday during a special called teleconference meeting to discuss the employment of Sen. Robert Duncan as chancellor. The meeting will be called to order and immediately recess to executive session. Following executive session, a motion will be made to officially approve Duncan as chancellor of the TTU System. Regents and Duncan will speak at a news conference in the Matador Room directly after adjournment of the meeting.
Duncan was named the sole finalist for the position of chancellor May 19. State law requires that 21 days must pass before final action can be taken by the Board of Regents on his employment.
