Texas Tech Students Participate in TLC Day

Each organization promotes community service and helpful actions in the community.

WHAT:           Tech Lubbock Community (TLC) Day

WHEN:           9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday (April 5)

WHERE:         Four locations: Salvation Army, Lubbock Memorial Arboretum, One9 Skate Park/Tent City and Keep Lubbock Beautiful

EVENT:          Texas Tech University students will participate in TLC Day to showcase their skills and help the four organizations accomplish a variety of tasks.

                        TLC day is a day to show appreciation for the community. Residence Halls Association, National Residence Hall Honorary, Raiders Helping Others and Student Staff Leaderships Council are sponsors of TLC Day. Each organization promotes community service and helpful actions in the community in which they are housed.

                        This year, there are a scheduled 200 volunteers and 600 hours of service being performed.
