A renowned a cappella quartet visits Texas Tech University’s Allen Theatre 7 p.m. March 28 to continue the Presidential Lecture & Performance Series.

Anonymous 4 is known for its virtuosic ensemble singing of medieval music, contemporary music and Americana.

The quartet will perform “Grace & Glory: Sacred Song from Medieval France and Early America” which will feature 13th century French motets and American shape note tunes, gospel songs and folk hymns from the late 18th to 20th centuries.

“We have never been to Lubbock or Texas Tech before, so we are very excited,” said Marsha Genensky, Anonymous 4 member. “The repertoire for the first half of the program is medieval music taken from our upcoming CD release, ‘Marie Et Marion.’ The second half is basically Americana.”

General admission tickets for the concert are $18 and are available through all Select-A-Seat locations. Call (806) 770-2000 or visit www.selectaseatlubbock.com.

Texas Tech students receive one free ticket with a valid student ID at the Student Union Building information booth located at the entrance to the Allen Theatre.
