Texas Tech Student Housing Hosts Recycling Event

Texas Tech University Student Housing partners with Effortless Recycling to support America’s Recycle Day by having a recycling event.

WHAT:           Texas Tech University Student Housing partners with Effortless Recycling to support America’s Recycle Day by having a recycling event.

WHEN:           10 – 6 p.m. Friday (Nov. 15)

WHERE:         S1 parking lot, west of University Medical Center at 10th Street and Texas Tech Parkway

EVENT:          Effortless Recycling will have trucks at the parking lot for recycled items. All items need to be bagged by specified category.

The list below details categories of items to recycle:

  • Everyday recyclables: Household plastics, cardboard, paper, glass and metal.
  • Textiles: Clothing, shoes, bed linens and blankets, handbags, toys, sports gear, books and games.
  • E-Waste: Computers and laptops, computer accessories, small household appliances, cell phones, MP3 players, electric cords, batteries, radios and DVD/VCR players.
