Texas Tech Participates in National Remembrance Roll Call Today

The event begins at 12:30 p.m. with a National Minute of Silence at 1 p.m.

WHERE:         Memorial Circle, Texas Tech University

EVENT:          On Veteran’s Day, Texas Tech University will participate in the Remembrance National Roll Call 2013 to honor the men and women who serve and have served our country. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. with a National Minute of Silence at 1 p.m.

The National Roll Call is a nationwide event held to appreciate, reflect and raise awareness throughout campuses about the sacrifices made by veterans. Eighty-five colleges and universities in 33 states already have taken the pledge to participate in this year’s event.

At the ceremony, Texas Tech will help raise awareness with a roll call of names that will be read to celebrate those who have served and currently are serving the United States.
