Community Survey News Conference to Show Public Views on LP&L, Taxes

Students measured how community members view Lubbock Power & Light, the quality of life in Lubbock, ratings of public services, taxes, education and crime.

WHAT:           A press conference will be held by a class in the Political Science department regarding the results from a Lubbock community public opinion survey.

WHEN:           1 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 13)

WHERE:         Room 107, Holden Hall

EVENT:          Seventeen students in a public opinion political science class conducted research regarding the state of the city of Lubbock. Each student contributed 12 calling hours to complete the survey.

                        Students measured how community members view Lubbock Power & Light, the quality of life in Lubbock, ratings of public services, taxes, education and crime.

                        Gregg Murray, associate professor in the Department of Political Science, will present the results during the conference.
