Award Ceremony Scheduled for Bicycle Friendly Designation

Texas Tech is one of two universities in the state to receive the honor.

WHAT:           Texas Tech University will be presented with the award designating its Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) status.

WHEN:           1 p.m. Monday (Nov. 25)

WHERE:         Matador Room, Student Union Building

EVENT:          Last week, the League of American Bicyclists announced the latest round of Bicycle Friendly Universities (BFU), and Texas Tech was named a Bronze BFU. Texas Tech is one of two universities in the state to receive the honor.

University Parking Services will receive the official award at the reception Monday. Members of the Bicycle Coordinating Committee will be present along with the Student Government Association and campus community. Representatives from Bike Texas will be on hand to present the award. Refreshments will be served.
