Air Force Medical Administrator Speaks at Lectureship Series

Administrator at Air Force’s largest medical facility speaks at Buesseler Luncheon.

WHAT:           Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business Health Organization Management Program hosts the 52nd Semi-Annual Buesseler Lectureship Luncheon

EVENT:          Texas Tech’s Health Organization Management (HOM) program hosts its 52nd semi-annual distinguished lectureship luncheon featuring Dr. Glenn A. Yap, an administrator at 59th Medical Wing at Lackland Air Force Base.

Yap will speak about “The Military Health System: Will the Latest Transformation Efforts to Save a $50B Health Care Program Work?”

Yap joined the U.S. Air Force in 1989 and has served in assignments in the continental U.S. and overseas as a medical service corps officer.  He recently graduated from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) at the National Defense University.

As administrator at 59th Medical Wing, Yap oversees the Air Force’s largest medical facility with more than 6,500 medical personnel and students.  He manages the wing’s financial and human resource programs and provides insight for all administrative programs.

Past speakers in this series have pioneered applied-research projects that have led to a profound change in healthcare delivery, inspired students and professionals, and demonstrated a life-long commitment to outstanding scholarship and research.
