Texas Tech University School of Law to Host Texas Court of Criminal Appeals

Law students and the public will have a opportunity to view the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in action.

WHAT:           Texas Tech University School of Law will host the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.

WHEN:           9 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 2)

WHERE:        Donald M. Hunt Courtroom, School of Law, 1802 Hartford Ave.

EVENT:          The Court of Criminal Appeals is Texas’ highest court for criminal cases. Law students and the public will have a special opportunity to view the Court, which usually presides in Austin, in action.

The Court consists of a presiding judge and eight judges. They are elected by the voters of the entire state, and they hold their offices for terms of six years.

Oral arguments will be heard in two cases starting at 9 a.m.
