Q — Please assess your time at USM: What do you see as your most significant professional achievements at USM and the strengths and weaknesses of the College of Business as you depart?

A — I would like to think that it was the trust and teamwork that we built in the college that allowed us to advance the academic reputation of the college and improve the learning of our students. We managed to receive a perfect five-year accreditation review from AACSB, noted for best practices in business education for our Business Honors House and student success center (BASE-Business Academic Success and Excellence), moved into the US News best business school rankings for the first time in history, and broke ground on a state-of-the-art new business building.
