Conference to put focus on drug-fueled violence

Angelo State University's Center for Security Studies will bring military and law enforcement personnel together to address the drug-fueled violence escalating along the border with Mexico during its first international conference on narco-terrorism.

The conference, "Transborder Narco-terrorism: Addressing a Changing Environment," is set for Aug. 21-23 and will be co-hosted by Texas Tech University and the Policia Internacional Transfronteriza/Transborder International Police, with financial support from Ener-Tel Corp. of San Angelo. ASU is a member of the Texas Tech University System.
