Alumni Association Seeks Nominations for Top Techsan Awards

The honorees will receive a certificate and cash award of $500 during a homecoming luncheon.

The Texas Tech Alumni Association currently is accepting nominations for its Top Techsan Awards.

Selections for the award, which was created in 1973, are based on the nomination form and supporting data, which fulfill the outlined criteria:

  • Brief summary of the nominee's job
  • Description of extraordinary work proficiency and team spirit

Specific examples of how the employee has exceeded the expectation of his/her job by exhibiting outstanding customer service, creating an environment of improved efficiency, and/or productivity, etc., also should be included.

Letters of support and a resume are accepted in the nomination packet. Download the nomination form (pdf).

Nominations are accepted from current faculty, staff or students. Only full-time, non-faculty employees are eligible for consideration. They must have two or more years of service with the university as of May the year a nomination is submitted. Nominations are not restricted to individuals within one's own department or college.

Honorees will be recognized at the Top Techsan Awards Luncheon, October 12, 2012, during the university's annual Homecoming celebration. Four honorees will receive a certificate and a cash award of $500 during the presentations.
