Professors and researchers from the University of British Columbia Pedram Samadi, Robert Schober and Vincent W. S. Wong; and Hamed Mohsenian-Rad of Texas Tech University address the consumer or demand-side of the grid and options for engaging the demand-side in energy management. Schober is an IEEE Fellow and an area editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications, while Mohsenian-Rad and Wong are co-chairs of symposia at IEEE GLOBECOM 2011. Wong also is associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
