Super Saturdays, an academic enrichment program facilitated by Texas Tech University, for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, is now open for fall enrollment.
For four consecutive Saturdays between Oct.1 and Oct. 22, children will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of areas from Texas Tech faculty, graduate students and public school teachers. Some of these include art, toxicology, law, architecture, cooking, theatre and LEGO-robotics.
Courses last two hours each and cost an average of $86 for the four weeks, but fees vary according to subject.
Super Saturdays are offered by Texas Tech’s Institute for the Development and Enrichment of Advanced Learners (IDEAL) with the primary goal of helping children narrow their field of interest by exposing them to hands-on courses in a variety of subject areas.
