Texas Tech’s University Parking Services and Scott’s Complete Car Care invite students, faculty and staff to bring their vehicles to the free Car Clinic for check-up services.

The Car Clinic provides fluid and belt checks to ensure attendants are ready to travel the roads before spring break. The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on March 2 at the C17 parking lot at Texas Tech Parkway and Indiana Avenue, west of the law school

The Car Care Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating motorists about regular vehicle care, reported that results of vehicle check-up events across the country revealed that 80 percent of vehicles need service or parts.

Parking services sponsors the Car Clinic three times a year; one is before Thanksgiving break, spring break, and the start of the fall semester.

All attendants will receive a goody bag and a chance to win a free parking permit.
