Local resources get federal boosts

Amarillo Globe-News - The Ogallala Aquifer project will get $3 million to look at water conservation issues affecting the aquifer. The ongoing research work is a partnership of USDA-Agricultural Research Service, West Texas A&M University, Kansas State University, Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service is contributing funding to two projects meant to enhance natural resources in the region.
