Texas Tech faculty shares its research with the campus community.
Texas Tech Libraries continued its tradition of honoring faculty accomplishments with its 26th Annual Faculty Academic Contributions Exhibit (FACE).
Founded on the idea that scholastic enterprise is among the noblest of all endeavors, this event recognizes faculty excellence and contributions to their chosen fields while celebrating academic diversity and fostering collaboration and dialogue across an array of disciplines.
This year's theme, "Seeds of Knowledge," celebrates Texas Tech's faculty sharing their wisdom and accomplishments as colleagues, researchers, professors and mentors.
"Twenty-six years ago, academic contributions were very physical and book-oriented. But now research has changed," said Kaley Daniel, director of Communications and Marketing for the University Libraries.
The exhibit now includes 125 interactive demonstrations by faculty campus wide, including multimedia presentations of articles and video exhibits, books, posters and other artifacts.
FACE will remain on display through Nov. 3.
An electronic version of the exhibit will be available in mid-November.
Extensive collections include more than 2.5 million volumes, subscriptions to major periodicals and several hundred specialized, online databases, e-journals and e-libraries.
