Robots at work: A fun way to learn programming

Small, round robots with halves of bright yellow folders attached to their backs chased each other around the floor.
A student grasping half a folder held the yellow beacon in front of one of the two-wheeled robots, testing to see if it would follow as programmed.
“Sorry, stupid robot,” one student said of his robot, which spun in circles searching for fellow robots.

The students are learning programming on the Scribbler robots as part of the Texas Tech at Abilene 2010 Robotics Workshop at the Texas Tech at Abilene building, 302 Pine Street.
