The Texas Tech University School of Music presents its 34th annual scholarship concerts with Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms and KrzysztofPenderecki’s Credo.”
Performances include the Texas Tech Orchestra, University Choir, Women’s Chorale, Men’s Chorus, University Singers, Lubbock Chorale and the Lubbock High School Treble Choir, directed by Carolyn Hefner. The event will begin 8 p.m. April 23 - 24 at Hemmle Recital Hall.
More than 200 voices along with the 80-piece Texas Tech Orchestra will perform, and feature student soloists and Texas Tech faculty. The show is conducted by Andrew George and Richard Bjella.
The concert will benefit School of Music scholarships.
General admission for the scholarship concert is $17. Tickets for seniors are $14.50 and $5 for students and children. Also, a family package to cover five members can be purchased for $35. Tickets are available through Select-A-Seat locations.
