Two Texas Tech Staff Members Selected for Texas Leadership Organization

Kelly Overley and Alicia Knight named to Texas Lyceum Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Two staff members have been selected as new directors for The Texas Lyceum, a non-profit, non-partisan organization focused on identifying the next generation of top Texas leaders.

Kelly Overley, vice chancellor of Institutional Advancement and chief operating officer of the Texas Tech Foundation; and Alicia Knight, director of the Chancellor’s Council, were sworn in recently, along with 18 other new directors.

Juan Muñoz, Texas Tech vice president of the Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement and associate vice provost for Faculty and Undergraduate Academic Affairs is also a member and on the executive board of the organization.

The Lyceum consists of 96 men and women from throughout the state who begin their three-year term while under the age of 46, and have demonstrated leadership in their community and profession, together with a deep commitment to Texas.

The organization acts as a catalyst to bring together diverse opinions and expertise to focus on national and state issues, and seeks to emphasize constructive private sector, public sector and individual responses to the issues.
