In addition to community service, Kelly Fox is a member of Texas Tech's off-campus Hill Country Board of Advisors along with Tom Hutton.
A Texas Tech faculty member will receive the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas Community Builder Award in April.
Kelly Fox, assistant professor and coordinator for the off-campus Texas Hill Country sites in the College of Education, will receive the award based on her service to the community and university.
The award is designed to enable a Masonic Lodge to formally recognize outstanding non-Masons who have distinguished themselves through their service to the community; to the local, state or national government; to their church or synagogue; or to humanity.
Fox’s community service includes the Marble Falls Independent School District (MFISD) Board of Trustees, Treaty Oak Bank advisory board, Marble Falls Rotary, the City of Marble Falls Steering Committee, MFISD Career and Technology Advisory Committee and the educational liaison to Central Texas College and Austin Community College.
Along with community service, Fox has served the university on the Faculty Senate, Hill Country Board of Advisors, Texas Tech University System Hill Country Higher Education Network, Center for Research in Leadership and Education, and College of Education leadership councils.
