Gov. Rick Perry announced the appointment of associate professor Michel “Todd” Brashears to the Brazos River Authority Board of Directors.
The authority is responsible for developing and conserving the surface water resources of the Brazos River Basin.
Brashears, in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications, will serve a term to expire Feb. 1, 2015.
Brashears is vice president of the Southern Region of the American Association of Agricultural Education, and a member of the National American Association for Agricultural Education, International Association of Food Protection, North American College Teachers of Agriculture and Association of Leadership Educators.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree in agricultural education from Oklahoma State University, and a doctorate of agricultural education from Texas Tech University.
