Court Hearing Set and New Motions Filed in Leach Lawsuit

Another day and another round of paperwork filed in a Lubbock Court by Mike Leach's lawyers. These tell us what Leach is looking for from a lawsuit against Texas Tech. The documents also cite defamation as a cause for lawsuit. The documents filed Friday state Texas Tech officials have made "both slanderous and libelous statements" including "that Mike Leach was terminated for cause, that Leach was insubordinate and refused to cooperate and was responsible for his contract being terminated and that Leach's termination was precipitated by his treatment of a player diagnosed with a concussion and he placed that player at risk of additional injury."
