Tenaska study: Power plant would add $146 million to Abilene economy

An economic study paid for by Tenaska estimates that Abilene would receive a more than $145 million economic boost during construction of the company’s proposed coal-fired power plant near Sweetwater.
The study, given to city officials earlier this week, was released a day before a public hearing scheduled to discuss the possibility of selling effluent water to Tenaska.
