McLennan Community College will follow this fall’s initial Texas Tech class offerings with a wider slate of Tech classes in the spring. This semester students have communications, biology and English classes available to them, and about 15 students enrolled in the initial Tech offerings through the MCC-Texas Tech partnership at MCC’s University Center, said Lewis Snell, the center’s director.
This spring, two more communications classes, leadership and communication in relationships, will be offered, along with a biology class (field ecology) and an English class (multicultural literatures of America).
Snell said the decision about what classes to offer was made based on need.
“We want to offer classes in a set rotation so that students can complete their junior- and senior-year classes in a two-year span,” Snell said.
Additional Tech faculty will be added as student demand increases, something Snell said MCC officials are confident will happen
