Former AG speaks in San Angelo to promote education

Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales spoke to a crowd of about 150 attending a fundraiser luncheon at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, telling local community leaders and Angelo State University students that through education “here in this country, dreams do come true.”

Gonzales, a visiting professor at Texas Tech University who is assisting in the recruitment and retention of first-generation and underrepresented students, came to San Angelo on Monday to tour ASU, which is a member of the Tech system.
