I started a nutrition and exercise program in June. In my first meeting with the nutritionist, she weighed me, measured me, then handed me a journal and told me to write down everything I ate for the next week, including the times I ate. She told me to return the following week. "No diet?" I questioned. "Not this week," she replied, and escorted me out the door. Believe me when I tell you that I hated that journal. I did not want to take the time to write in it and I specifically did not want to write down what I was eating. But I did.
