Governor pushes Tech regents to quit

According to this story in the Austin American-Statesman, Perry allies pressured two regents of the Texas Tech University System to step down after they came out in support of Perry's opponent in the upcoming gubernatorial election, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Former regent Windy Sitton got the message "to cease and desist supporting Kay Bailey immediately or resign from the board" through the former board chairman, Scott Dueser. She did neither, and Perry appointed someone else to fill her spot when her term expired, the story said
