Polgar: Learning some chess lessons from this breakthrough game

The question of the week is what were some of the breakthrough games in my career?

Here is one of them. This game was against one of the great Women's World Champions from the former Soviet Union. This was the first time I defeated former Women's World Champion Maia Chiburdanidze as we drew on previous occasions.

What also made this special was this helped my sisters and I capture our second Olympiad Team Gold Medals. Up until 1988 when my sisters and I captured our first Team Gold for our native country Hungary, the Soviet Women's Teams had won gold in every Olympiad they have ever competed in.
