David Carroll, an art/photography teacher at Andrew High School in Tinley Park, passionately teaches his students about the 19th century Apache Indian who slaughtered countless Americans in order to ensure the survival of his tribe.

Carroll is working on a book titled "The Complete Photographic History of Geronimo" for Texas Tech University Press. He says he is halfway done at 1,100 pages.
