Express yourself on Texas Tech's Official Facebook page.
Become a fan now, and stay updated with the latest information about TTU.
No awkward questions. No my place or yours? No brainstorming nearby locations.
For Red Raiders, meeting face-to-face is more convenient and more comfortable than
ever.
Thanks to Facebook.
Yep, Texas Tech has plunged neck-deep into the social media juggernaut, creating
an official page where students, faculty, employees and fans can track down friends,
compare course schedules or debate the best place in Lubbock to get a cheeseburger
– all without leaving their keyboard.
After all, why waste the gas going to a coffee shop?
“We created the Texas Tech’s Facebook page to provide a forum where Red Raiders can
get together to discuss classes, find new friends or just chat about the upcoming
football game,” said Margaret Lutherer, executive director of communications and marketing.
As the page develops, fans will have access to Texas Tech-themed applications (think
brain-busting trivia and Double-T bumper stickers), polls and notifications about
upcoming campus events.
Becoming a fan is easy enough: just visit
facebook.ttu.edu. While you’re there, browse photos, take polls, add applications and check out the
university’s most popular YouTube videos.
Oh, and be sure to upload a pic of your friends giving a guns up while you’re at
it.
