Wind Power Helps Texas Move Past Oil

Texas, long the traditional home of the oil industry in the U.S. has begun to make its presence felt in the renewable energy market as well. In the year 2007 more than one gigawatt of wind energy capacity has been installed in Texas and the state now accounts for nearly 30% of the nation's wind production.
