Internships moves online, but do students miss out with no office contact?
Last school year, Matthew Hanzelka did an internship with a financial planner, helping develop a monthly e-mail newsletter and taking on special projects while finishing coursework at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. But his wasn't a traditional type of internship, complete with a small workstation in an otherwise unused corner of an office. All the work was completed from the comfort of the house he and his roommates lived in, and he mainly communicated with his boss through e-mail and telephone.
