The Texas Tech Campus will welcome an estimated 1,500 people on Friday and Saturday
for the Texas BEST Robotics Competition. The participants will come from 48 high schools
and junior high schools around New Mexico and Texas. Each contestant represents winning
teams in their local competitions.
On Saturday a competition will be held in which the team’s robots will be challenged
in this year’s game, Laundry Quandary. The competition and events will take place
all day Friday and Saturday rotating between the United Spirit Arena and the College
of Egineering.
BEST, a non-profit volunteer organization, aims to inspire student interest in the
fields of engineering, science and technology by sponsoring science and engineering
competitions for students.
