HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO CONVERGE FOR FFA CAREER DEVELOPMENT EXTRAVAGANZA

WHAT: Red Raider Extravaganza
WHEN: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (April 16)
WHERE: Animal and Food Sciences Building and Livestock Arena at 18th Street and Indiana
EVENT: More than 2,000 high school students from the Lubbock area and throughout the
state will participate in contests for the Area and State Career Development Events
for the Future Farmers of America.
Judging events include livestock, meats, horse, poultry, dairy cattle and products,
range and pasture and agricultural mechanics.
A free hamburger lunch, live band and tours of the Texas Tech College of Agricultural
Sciences and Natural Resources will be provided for all students participating in
Red Raider Extravaganza.
The event is hosted by the Texas Tech University College of Agricultural Sciences
and Natural Resources, the Student Agricultural Council and the ARC Center.
