Two Texas Tech University faculty members recently won the Heart of Financial Planning Award given by the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Four Heart of Financial Planning awards are given out during the year.

Deena Katz, associate professor, and Harold Evensky, instructor, received the award, which recognizes professionals, financial planning firms, FPA chapters and organizations who contribute and give back to the planning community and public through financial planning.

“The Heart of Financial Planning Award is an award given out sparingly, so I am honored to receive it,” Katz said. “It certainly makes me feel very proud to be a part of the financial planning community.”
