San Antonio Express-News – Senate Bill 557 aims to create a funding distribution formula for universities admitted to the National Research University Fund. The idea is to help Texas Tech University achieve Tier One status as national research institutions. The University of Texas and Texas A&M University already have achieved Tier One status.

The Athens News – This Thursday, Dr. Kitty Harris, the director for the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery, and Dr. Matthew Russell, associate director of the center’s Replication Project from Texas Tech University, are visiting OU to speak with the Division of Student Affairs and meet with students. Harris and Russell are expected to present to OU the history and purpose of their successful program at Texas Tech University.
