STC News - Environment-inspired comes to Mid-Valley

South Texas College’s Library Art Gallery Program brings the work of Sara Waters to the Mid-Valley with an exhibit entitled, “Parallels of Concept: Interpreter and Translator.” The exhibit opens Monday, Nov. 2 and will be on view through Nov. 23 at STC’s Mid-Valley Campus Library Art Gallery located at 400 N. Border in Weslaco. Admission is free and open to the public. Waters is an art professor at Texas Tech University, where she teaches sculpture and drawing. She earned her Masters of Fine Art in Clay/Sculpture from Indiana University. Her work can be found in art collections at The Institute of Contemporary Ceramic Art in Shigaragi, Japan, Southwestern Bell, Compaq Computers, and the Texas Tech University Museum.
