Lubbock Avalanche-Journal - Thief steals thousands from nonprofit

A thief silenced the hum of power tools at the local Habitat for Humanity site and made off with thousands of dollars worth of the nonprofit’s equipment. The large theft will delay projects for both the Tech and Lubbock chapters and cause some potential Habitat homeowners to have to wait longer to get a house, Habitat volunteers said. Both chapters share some tools.
