Lubbock Avalanche-Journal - Lubbock plays good host to rodeos
It was one whopping rodeo weekend in Lubbock.
During the past weekend, a pro bull riding show and a college rodeo galloped into town.
On Saturday, a cowboy named Friday Wright won the Championship Bull Riding tour stop at the City Bank Coliseum.
The Moss Point, Miss., rider first conquered the Mike Johnson bull, McCrazy, and scored an 88. In the final round, he stuck on a bull named Cude Energy (owned by Benny Cude Bucking Bulls) and was marked 91.5.
