Graduate Student Receives $10,000 Scholarship from Texas Business Hall of Fame

Kara Neff, a graduate student in the Rawls College of Business, received a $10,000 scholarship from the Texas Business Hall of Fame.
Kara Neff, who is attending Texas Tech to obtain a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship, will be awarded the scholarship on October 15 during a luncheon ceremony at the Hilton Americas in Houston.
Her scholarship is one of 15 awarded by the hall of fame to future entrepreneurs and leaders who will keep Texas at the cutting edge in business, exhibit leadership qualities in academic and campus activities, and have good academic credentials.
Neff received her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in business from the University of Texas in Austin.
Rawls College of Business
The Rawls College of Business accounts for about 25 percent of Texas Tech graduates.
The college has a full-time teaching staff of roughly 100 in five departments: accounting, finance, information systems and quantitative science, management and marketing.
The college offers an accredited weekend MBA for Working Professionals program.
